Dr. Pegg is a board-certified neurologist who has practiced in the Bloomington-Normal area for over 25 years. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Iowa, attended medical school at the University of Illinois and received his neurology training at Indiana University.
One of only three certified ImPACT™ physicians in the state of Illinois, Dr. Pegg provides concussion screening and concussion management for area athletes at elementary school, high school, college and professional levels. Dr. Pegg is the official neurologist for Bloomington Blaze, Bloomington Extreme Arena Football, Illinois State University Athletics and Illinois Wesleyan Athletics.
A writing enthusiast, Dr. Pegg writes monthly health-related articles for Healthy Cells, a local publication. He enjoys public speaking and regularly shares his knowledge by lecturing at schools and support groups as well as speaking to colleagues.
Dr. Pegg is involved in research through Central Illinois Neuroscience Foundation and is a member of numerous medical societies.
The oldest of eight children, Dr. Pegg was raised in Peoria, Illinois. Family oriented and lifelong area residents, he and his wife Carol have five children.
